Terms to know to better understand our service
2nd tier refers to a web page that has a link back to a page on your website. These can include guest blog posts, citation sites, YouTube videos, social media profiles, press releases, and the like.
Anchor Text (or Anchor Link)
This refers to the words used to create the hyperlink (aka backlink) to your selected URL. These are often noticeably different than the rest of the normal paragraph text on the website, as they should be per Google’s best practices. Instead of using the URL to create the link, a more friendly keyword phrase is used.
Instead of the link using www.PizzaHut.com as the anchor text, it would be much more beneficial to Pizza Hut if America’s Favorite Pizza was used and hyperlinked to www.PizzaHut.com.
Backlinks are simply links on other websites that will lead to a page on your website (or 2nd tier link) when clicked.
DA (Domain Authority)
Domain Authority is a scale from 1-100 that rates how much authority a website has. It is a sliding scale, meaning it is much easier to go from a DA of 10 to 20 than it is from 70 to 80. The higher the authority, the higher the credibility of the website in the eyes of the major search engines.

Drip is a term used when something will be executed over a period of time instead of all at once. This is commonly used referring to email ‘drip’ campaigns.
This is a guest blog post and refers to your blog post being published on another website with credit and a backlink given to your website because you wrote the article (or had us write the article for you 😃) because they appreciate the value your blog post brought to their audience.
This has a huge SEO benefit to your site as you gained a very high-quality backlink from the deal which still is and always has been a MAJOR ranking factor.
A keyword, or keyword phrase, refers to the term most commonly used in search queries to find specific things. Since it is unlikely many of the people searching for your product, service, or information are typing your business name into the search bar, it is very important to determine what they are typing when they want to find a website that contains the information, product, or service they are looking for.
Link juice is commonly used but is a non-technical term used when talking about SEO. It simply refers to the value of a link from one web page to another. The higher the DA the of the website that the link is coming from, the more ‘link juice’ it will pass.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
SEO refers to a slew of optimizations you can make on and off your website to improve how it ranks in the SERP’s.
SERP's (Search Engine Results Position)
This refers to where your website (or web pages more specifically) ranks for certain search queries.
So, URL stands for Universal Resource Locator, but it simply refers to your domain name.
